FAQ'S Frequently Asked Questions Tilly & Co Memorial Jewellery Ltd We understand that creating meaningful keepsakes from your loved one's ashes, hair, breast milk, or other cherished elements is an emotional and personal journey. Below, you’ll find answers to common questions to help guide you through the process with clarity and care. How do I know my ring size? To ensure the perfect fit, it is recommended to have your finger professionally measured by a jeweller. I offer ashes collection kits which include a ring sizer for your convenience. Should you prefer not to purchase a kit, I would be happy to advise you on where to obtain a reliable ring sizer. Please note that measuring your ring size with string or tape is highly inaccurate and therefore cannot be accepted. It is essential to provide the correct ring size, as I cannot be held responsible for rings that do not fit due to incorrect measurements. If you are local, appointments are available, and I would be pleased to personally measure your ring size to guarantee the best fit. Do you ship Internationally? Currently, we only ship within the UK. Due to new regulations under the GPSR, we are unfortunately unable to ship to Northern Ireland at this time. What can I include in my jewellery? We can work with ashes, hair, fur, breast milk, umbilical cord, placenta, fabric, flowers, and more. If you have something unique in mind, please reach out—we’ll do our best to accommodate it. How do I send my inclusions? Once you place your order, we’ll email you detailed instructions on how to safely package and post your inclusions to us. We always recommend using a tracked postal service for peace of mind. I do supply postal collection kits at a small cost please add this to your order at checkout How much of the inclusion is needed? Ashes or fur: A teaspoon (5ml) is plenty. Hair: A small lock (5-10 strands is often enough). Breast milk: 5ml. ( When you place a breastmilk order a collection kit will be sent out in the post ) We’ll return any unused material with your finished order in a keepsake bottle. What is the current turnaround time? Our usual turnaround is 4–6 weeks from the day we receive your inclusions. For gold and custom pieces, please allow a little longer. If you need something urgently, contact us and we’ll do our best to help. Can I choose my own stone colour? Yes! You can choose from a wide range of stunning Bello opal colours, natural tones, or even clear stones We offer an extensive range of colours to personalise your keepsake. Once your order is placed, we’ll be in touch with example options for you to choose from. Please note: Colours may vary slightly depending on your chosen setting and your device’s screen. Will my Jewellery be hallmarked? Yes. All sterling silver and gold pieces are hallmarked where legally required. All of my jewellery is carefully crafted using high-quality materials. Unless otherwise stated, pieces are made from .925 Sterling Silver or 9ct Gold. I also offer a selection of band rings in alternative materials such as Titanium, Tungsten, Ceramic, and Stainless Steel, which will be clearly labelled on the product listing. All .925 Sterling Silver jewellery over 7.78g, as well as all 9ct Gold pieces, are hallmarked at the Assay Office, guaranteeing authenticity and quality. What are your items made from? All our jewellery, keepsakes & gifts, are made from highest-grade, professional-quality resin—tested personally for durability and longevity. To keep your piece in the best possible condition, please follow the provided care instructions carefully. We work with a trusted UK Assay Office to ensure authenticity and quality. Is the jewellery waterproof? We recommend removing your jewellery before bathing, swimming, or heavy cleaning. While the resin we use is strong and durable, it’s best to treat your piece with the same care you would any fine jewellery. Can I see a preview before my piece is made? Yes i can provide mini mockups upon request if you are unsure what your item will look like before i proceed to making it. However, we will follow your instructions carefully and treat each order with great attention to detail and respect. What if I change my mind or need to cancel? Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. After that, because each item is custom-made and materials are often already prepared, we cannot offer cancellations or refunds. Please read our Terms & Conditions before ordering. What happens to my inclusions after my piece is made? Any unused inclusions will be safely returned with your jewellery in a glass keepsake presentation bottle. Can I order a gift card? Yes, we offer Egift cards—perfect for giving someone the choice to create their own memorial piece when they’re ready If you prefer a printed gift voucher please let me know and i will provide this for you upon request..
